Glass Buttons ~ Clear and Colored Glass Collectible ButtonsToday we'll look at back painted clear glass.There are many different sizes, styles, and colors of glass buttons, as well as clear buttons with trim of metal, paint, and other design techniques. Glass buttons can be found mounted in metal. Paperweight buttons, made in the style of desk paperweights, are available in antique, vintage and modern categories. Opaque glass buttons are found in many colors and styles, including art-deco and Victorian. Glass buttons can be found with pictorial subjects of all types, as well as patterns with luster, paint or just a pressed or molded design. The glass buttons shown below are some of my duplicate collectibles. S/H is starts at $1.50; please add 50 cents for orders of more than 4 buttons. Insurance is extra, but highly recommended. Collecting Glass ButtonsThe subject of glass buttons encompasses many different types, most of which I don't collect. Incidentally, that very book borrowed from our library was my number ONE catalyst for collecting buttons. |
